Hello there!
I am so excited for the anticipation of your new novel Hollow City to come out next week! Also, I plan to come to your book signing in Brooklyn, NY on the 26th but I don't see a time. Could you please let me know? This will be the first time going to a book signing for me. I just loved your first book so much!

Warmly,

Sarah Best

Ive just finished reading Miss Peregrine. It s strange and creepy-but good,in the hands of a potential educator,to teach about Souls and the wonderful idea that there are Special Souls among us,that being normal may mean more happiness than we d think and that being normal may not be a sure-fire solution to keep the world alive.to save the world,if u like.
It is a story about HOW MUCH we need MENTORS-to teach us about our own special gifts we may have but are unaware of,unable to detect them by ourselves.Oh,by the way-Im an adult-according to my identity card and not a native English speaker. I guess the next fair question is 4 me 2 wonder if Im not trapped inside a childhood loop myself, along with a secret gang/tribe of people like me,who would invest money and time to read such stories...What makes such stories so attractive to so many people?I wolud also feel free to indulge in the idea that I ,myself,,am special in some ways, unknown to me and the world. Please,Mr Riggs, now, don t spoil my illusion for me...Oh-and the idea that if we see someone strange, you should treat them with reverence-.It reminds me of THE Dreamcatcher, the film-was that its name?I guess-u know, when the peculiar guy,the onee who was dismissed as a moron by everyone turns out to be the one who (since he is an ET)is the only one who can save the human species...

So I get it there is a sequel and,oh,how things magically connect,it would be out into the readers" hands 2 days after I finished reading the first one of the saga. How about that.So the nesxt one follows the characters in London, defined as the capital of the peculiar. As a Romanian,I can always vow it is true.London has just been blackmailed into lifting restrictions ,jobwise, for Romanians and there was national(British) terror regarding this moment,as millions and millions of savage -like Romanians were feared to charge into the UK and steal British jobs and the bread off the poor British tables. So a fortnight ago a gang of British journalists queued at one London airport to see the wave of Romanian immigrants charging. They(the reporters) are reported to have huddled together (around a glass or two),at a bar, ready to protect with thier valiant chests the future and jobs of the fragile British people. After the first plane from Romania landed, off the plane came...ONE Romanian, heading to a pre-arranged job,a guy with acceptable English in his soldier"s...sack.After this event, the ONE Romanian was invited to tour several television sets to give interviews about the phenomenon. So it turns out that the guy was not only going to serve some British commoners, but ended up actually paying some media Big Shots"paycheck, who got to use his image to make their shows,.
I am not aware if there was an Ellis Island episode going to be involved(should there have been a Romanian exodus to the UK),but I guess maybe it should have been, after all it led other nations into glory, into being(or going on being)great nations.
I just wanted to share this little story here,I found the context was right, since this is the territory where people(writer anf followers alike)will understand things connected with peculiarness of all kinds, with alienation-a word wihich set up meaning "stranger"-with strangeness in its large variety of forms, dramas and treasures...So I wolud be happy,Mr Riggs,if You chose to share it with others or/and chose to answer it with a frown or a smile or a "hi'.

So great that you will be signing books on these locations. It's a pity you are not coming to other countries for meet and greet and book signing -- Philippines perhaps (please pardon may shameless subliminal request).

Your books are wonderful and weird in a very good way just book the second book in the Peculiar Children series, and I'll surely devour it. Reading it under the sheets with a dim light makes the reading experience more hair raising.

Can't wait for the third book!

It was great meeting you at Hardesty Regional Library in Tulsa, OK yesterday. I love your first book and can't wait to read Hollow City. It's awesome to hear that Tim Burton is directing the film adaptation of your books. I'm a big fan of his work as well. It was even weirder to find out that you go by "Randy" like me. You are the second Randy Riggs I've met. I have a cousin with the same name. There are quite a few Riggs' in Oklahoma. We get together every Christmas. This year we had 96 in one small house. I just wanted to say thank you again for coming to Tulsa. It was a great experience meeting you.

Your writing is beautiful. The way you explain new love is dark and refreshing. "...there was something new happening, a wheel inside my heart I'd never noticed before, and it was spinning so fast it made me dizzy. And the farther away she got, the faster it spun, like there was an invisible cord unreeling from it that stretched between us, and if she went too far it would snap--and kill me. I wondered if this strange, sweet pain was love."

Would love to meet you in person. Can you put south Florida on your next book tour?

Really enjoyed your Q&A in Austin tonight. Perhaps you will get to meet Garriott on a return trip in the future. He's a collector of weird things too. If I had interesting, old pictures to share with you, what's the best method to provide them digitally?

Do you have any idea when a release for a third book can be expected? I stumbled upon the first Peculiar book at my university's library maybe 3 weeks ago, not even looking to begin reading a book. I couldn't put the book down. Then I learned of the release of the second book. I finished it in a couple of days. I hadn't even bothered to look at the table of contents. Before I knew it, I turned the page and there were no chapters left to read! Needless to say, I am anxiously awaiting the release of the third book. Any update would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It was great meeting you last night in Kansas City, Missouri. I got flustered when I came up to get your autograph and forgot to tell you more about the comment I made earlier during your speech. You had talked about wondering how to do videos with your books, and I mentioned how author Patrick Carman does that. He has the series 3:15, and also the Skeleton Creek series that have little videos. You mentioned that meant readers had to stop reading and would be interrupted. As a former middle school teacher (now a high school librarian) my special education teachers used those books with the videos with their reluctant readers, and let me tell you what a hit it was!! So I definitely think you could come up with some kind of videos to use that would still be accepted and read. Also, it could maybe be a live link in an e-book maybe, so when someone was reading the book on an e-reader, they could click the link and go right to the video, and then go right back to the book after watching it. So mad at myself for not telling you this when I saw you last night! Can't wait to read the 2nd book now, and will be anxiously awaiting the 3rd!!

Is it strange that now, every time my ears pop, I wonder if I've entered another loop?
Think I need to get out more...

LOVED Hollow City!
Keep them coming!!!

When we found the original Miss Perigrine's novel, our copy made the rounds of my son's class, and was eventually purchased for their school's library. I have ordered this second novel, and we are anxiously awaiting it. As we wait, lo and behold, you have made the February Schoolastic Book Club order. Congratulations! I think that's a special achievement all it's own! :) Looking forward to this novel and the many more we hope to come...
